"Our hope is that he turns the corner in the next day or two and we start to see some progress," Bochy said.
Belt missed 12 games during July's stint on the disabled list as he weathered the concussion he suffered July 19. Bochy was reluctant to surmise that the 26-year-old, who missed his fifth consecutive game, would return more quickly this time.
"I can't assume that until our doctors tell us what they think," Bochy said.
