Bochy nevertheless kept Belt on the bench "to make sure he doesn't have any issues." Buster Posey replaced Belt at first base while Andrew Susac took Posey's usual spot behind the plate.
Belt returned from the disabled list Saturday after recovering from his concussion, which forced him to miss 12 games. He entered Thursday hitting .237 with 11 home runs and 24 RBIs.
