SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Saturday's rainout of the exhibition game against the Chicago Cubs didn't change pitching plans for the Giants' top starters who could have been affected.

Scheduled to face the Cubs, Matt Cain still threw his quota of pitches, returning to the Giants' Scottsdale Stadium complex to work a pair of simulated innings. Among the relievers scheduled to follow Cain, at least one, right-hander Adam Reifer, also threw.

Right-hander Tim Hudson remained on schedule to make his Cactus League debut for the Giants on Sunday against Arizona.
