OAKLAND -- Angel Pagan underwent an MRI on his strained left hamstring Tuesday, and Giants manager Bruce Bochy said the news was good.

"There's some bursitis in there and it's a little sore," Bochy said before Tuesday's Interleague game vs. the A's. "We'll see how he gets through his workouts to determine if he's available as a pinch-hitter."

Pagan suffered the strain Saturday, before his walk-off, inside-the-park home run.

Pagan brought the results of the MRI with him to Oakland and when asked about his status, he waved the folder and said, "We'll see."

Pagan, who participated in pregame activities, remains day to day with the injury.
