Giants host Japan in exhibition game on Thursday

Scottsdale, Ariz. -- The San Francisco Giants will host Japan, the defending champions of the 2006 and 2009 World Baseball Classic, for an exhibition game on Thursday, March 14 at Scottsdale Stadium at 1:05 p.m. Tickets are still available for Thursday's contest.

Japan finished Pool A with a 2-1 record, having defeated Brazil and China to earn a berth in the World Baseball Classic second round. Japan, will face Netherlands in the finals of the second round tomorrow to determine the seeding for the semifinals of the WBC at AT&T Park.

For tickets for Thursday's exhibition game against Japan, fans can call 877-4SFGTIX or purchase them in person at Giants Dugout Stores, Scottsdale Stadium Box Office (open 10am to 5pm) or by logging onto sfgiants.com.
