SAN FRANCISCO -- The Giants' World Series trophy will begin its much-anticipated, three-month public tour Tuesday with an appearance in Sacramento.
Fans will have the chance to have their photograph taken with the trophy and to support their local Junior Giants Baseball League by making a voluntary contribution during the trophy viewing.
The opening event will take place at Sacramento City Hall, 915 I Street, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. PT. That will be followed on successive days by functions in Chico, Los Molinos, Redding and Mt. Shasta.
