SAN FRANCISCO -- An MRI on Santiago Casilla's right knee following Friday's 4-3 win against Chicago showed the closer has a bruised tibia, manager Bruce Bochy said before Saturday's game.
"He's most likely not going to pitch today, but hopefully he'll pitch tomorrow, so that's pretty good news for us," Bochy said.
Casilla injured his leg in the ninth inning of Friday's game while fielding Darwin Barney's infield single. Casilla left the game after having given up a three-run home run to narrow the Giants' lead to one, and Javier Lopez came in to record the two final outs after inheriting two runners from Casilla.
Bochy said Casilla would receive treatment on his knee Saturday and that the closer remains day to day.
