SAN FRANCISCO -- Giants manager Bruce Bochy said before Friday's game against the Cubs that Sergio Romo will be available to pitch after sitting the last three games with what boils down to instability in his right knee cap.
"He came out and threw and felt fine," Bochy said. "He was covering first base and doing all the little things that he'll need to be able to do. He's good to go."
Romo, who sustained a partial dislocation of his knee cap while stretching before Monday's 4-2 win against the D-backs, has only given up one run in 14 2/3 innings this season.
