The Giants will launch sales of single-game tickets on Saturday with the four-hour "March to Opening Day" extravaganza at AT&T Park. The event gives fans a chance to win prizes and zing the Oakland A's.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PT, fans can purchase season tickets, tickets to individual games and Giants 6-packs. The first 1,000 fans to buy will receive two free tickets to one of the exhibition games at AT&T Park at the end of March. The Giants play Seattle on the shores of McCovey Cove on March 29, followed by Oakland on March 30 and 31.
Tickets to the Home Run Derby on the eve of the All-Star Game, a trip to the Giants' Spring Training camp in Arizona, 2007 season tickets, Opening Day tickets and Giants-autographed items will be awarded in a raffle.
A casting call will be held for fans hoping to sing the national anthem, be a Junior Giants announcer or appear in a television advertisement. A dancing contest with mascot Lou Seal also will be held.
Fans also can participate in a question-and-answer session with two of the most popular first basemen in club history, Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda and J.T. Snow.
In addition, anyone who turns in an old Barry Zito T-shirt, jersey or similar merchandise will receive two free tickets to one of the AT&T Park exhibition games against the A's.
Admission to "March to Opening Day" is free.
