Blister no concern for Lincecum

PHILADELPHIA -- Giants ace Tim Lincecum said that the blister on the middle finger of his pitching hand is a non-issue.

Speaking on Friday, the eve of his start in the National League Championship Series against the Philadelphia Phillies, the right-hander said of the blister, "It's fine. It's calloused over."

The blister bothered Lincecum slightly during Spring Training, though he didn't miss a start during the regular season.

The San Jose Mercury News initially reported that Lincecum's blister nagged him during his two-hit shutout against Atlanta on Oct. 7, when he struck out 14 batters.
