Bochy ejected for arguing strike call in sixth

SAN FRANCISCO -- Giants manager Bruce Bochy was ejected from Saturday's San Francisco-San Diego showdown before the seventh inning began for arguing a strike call.

Bochy was apparently upset about Tim Stauffer's 0-2 pitch to Buster Posey that plate umpire Mike Everitt called a strike to end the sixth inning. The Giants, who trailed, 4-0, had two runners on base.

Between innings, Bochy left the Giants' dugout and advanced toward Everitt with his cap in his hand, yelling all the while. Everitt almost instantly signaled Bochy's ejection -- predictably enough, because that's the automatic penalty for arguing balls and strikes.

Bochy continued his rant with crew chief Tim McClelland, who was stationed at first base, before leaving the field.
